Kentucky State Police said New Year has historically been a time where drinking and driving try to mix.Police say they will have checkpoints all across the state to watch out for drunk drivers on New Years Eve to save lives.聽Along with keeping speed slow on the holiday and looking out for the heavy holiday traffic, police said the most important thing people can do is to have a ride plan on standby in case drinks start flowing.聽 Nowadays its so easy to find a ride or a rideshare in Bowling Green or surrounding areas, said KSP Post 3 Trooper Daniel Priddy. Plan ahead for that and try to schedule something, or at least have a backup plan in case something happens and you shouldnt be on the roadway.
