LAHORE:The Lahore High Court on Friday issued a notice to the government for dunk a reply and directed the medical superintendents of three public hospitals to appear in court on May21, with the observation that several children had died of measles apparently due to the negligence of the Health Department.The court further observed that the number of deaths from measles had not decreased despite the government s claims of having taken precautionary measures.The court was hearing a petition moved by the Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Advocate Muham nike air max plus mad Azhar Siddique seeking a judicial inquiry into measles related deaths to fix responsibility for the failure to control the epidemic.Siddique said several children had died of measles despite being vaccinated. Vaccines had been stolen and sold to KARACHI:Sindh reported 1,439 new coronavirus cases and 23 deaths on Tuesday while 953 persons recovered from the deadly nike air max 1 virus.In the past 24 hours, 5,454 tests were conducted in the province, of which 26.4 per cent were positive, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued by the CM House.He added that the provincial government has conducted 192,546 tests s air max 1 o far, with 31,086 total positive cases.
