Qsir Man stabbed multiple times Monday night in Chattanooga
Demetrius Bailey Demetrius Bailey A man who was wanted in the alleged kidnapping and rape of another man was arrested early Sunday morning.Demetrius Bailey, 37, is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.Police began searching f yeezy or Bailey Saturday night. He allegedly asked the victim, who was a stranger, for a adidas samba donna ride to a residence on 12th Ave. on Jan. 9 before kidnapping the man at gunpoint and holding him hostage. The victim was able to escape Friday morning.Before escaping, the victim told police he was sexually assaulted, according to a news release.Chattanooga police officers, who were searching for Bailey throughout the night, spotted the s dunk homme uspect s vehicle at around 2 a.m.and attempted to pull him over. He did not stop, which led to a lengthy, multi-agency pursuit. Mayor Billy Simpson said it is a move that has to be made. We ve thrown this back and forth, but it is common knowledge that we are losing money in sanitation, he said in July. We ve got to do something about adjusting our rates. Alderman Paul Evans said last month that the town s brush pickup efforts from spring and summer storms only have made the problem worse. I think [the fee increase] has to be done, especially considering brush pickup and all the hours we ve had to put in manpower, he said.Simpson said there have been four fee increases for dumping trash at the Marion County landfill since 2004 that also have contributed to the town s losses. The aldermen and I have discussed this, he said. We just completed three years of losing money with our garbage pickup. We cannot stanley cup continue to lose the money we ve been losing. Ronald Fisher is the man who tried to light an officer on fire. An Athens, Tenn., officer who was doused in lighter fluid and almost set on fire said he only had a second to react. That s not something you think about every day ... being set on fire, patrol officer Lee Reagan said Thursday.Reagan stanley water jug responded to a call of a disturbance at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon to find 59-year-old Ronald Fisher standing in the courtyard. Fishe stanley fr r had a baseball bat and lighter fluid in one hand and a large mattr stanley cup ess at his feet, Reagan said.Reagan said he asked Fisher what was wrong, and the man said he just had been told he was going to be evicted from his apartment.Fisher began spraying lighter fluid on the mattress, Reagan said, and when the officer yelled for Fisher to stop, he began to spray Reagan, too.From the corner of his eye, Reagan said, he saw Fisher had a small lighter in his other hand and was flicking it, trying to get a flame.
