When formed in 2007-08, the CTP had been given a fleet of vehicles containing four new and old 750cc bikes for VIP duties. Besides this, some 116 250cc bikes and nearly 750 125cc bikes were also included in the fleet for routine patrolling and other duties. All these motorbikes have been painted black from the usual colour of white after undergoing repair and maintenance work. Further, the colour of mobile vans has also been changed to silver, contrary to the rest of Punjab where the colour of traffic police vans is either green or white.
