The historic Marine One helicopter is making it debut Monday at the Aviation Heritage Park in Bowling Green.聽The helicopter has been undergoing restoration efforts for the past year. Monday it was unveiled at its final landing spot.The project is in honor of a local Marine, the late Mac Reynolds of Bowling Green. Reynolds piloted a similar helicopter and flew four different presidents in it.COVID-19 delayed some of the repairs and put a damper on the unveiling celebration. Aviation Heritage Park President Joe Tinius, tells WNKY they are still finding a way to celebrate the remarkable aircraft.You can now go to the Aviation Heritage Park to see the aircraft.
