VICTORIA鈥擝uilding on legislation introduced by Ontarios Progressive Conservative government last month, B.C.s NDP government Tuesday introduced paid sick day legislation for the first time.It came with a Canadian pandemic first: The promise of a permanent program that outlasts the COVID-19 crisis, as workers across the country have demanded since the pandemic began.Like the Ontario program, B.C. will offer workers three paid sick days during the pandemic.
