The Canadian Food Inspection Agency CFIA and Health Canada are warning shoppers about various flavours of cake sold at popular grocery stores that are being pulled from shelves due to allergy concerns.The initial food recall warning issued on July 2 has now been updated to include additional product information. This additional information, released July 6, was identified during the CFIS food safety investigation.Dufflet Pastries is recalling Dufflet brand Plant-based Cakes and Cupcakes from the marketplace because they may contain egg which is not declared on the label, the CFIA warning states. For the past eight years, Parks Trails New York has hosted the Canal Clean Sweep event on Earth Day.Fran Gotcsik, director of Programs and Policy for Parks Trails New York, likened it to getting ready for company. The goal of the event is to get the Canal and Canal Trailway ready for tourism and the boating season, and its always on Earth Day.Though Gotcsik pointed out there are some events yet to take place. The list of events by county can be found at http://ptny.org/canalway/sweep/2013events.pdfThere are still two events left to be held in Oswego County, the stanley cup Battle Island Clean Sweep on April 29 at 10 a.m., and Bridge House Brats Clean Sweep on May 4 at 10 a.m.Volunteers can still sign up for both of these events stanley thermos using the contact information on the website.
