The Jackson County Sheriff PIO saidTyreik Baldwin has been cited with a county charge for assaulting a female corrections officer.He could also face a charge from the state depending on the prosecutor s decision.Baldwin is the same man charged in the murder of his grandfather in Blue Springs.A Jackson County spokeswoman said the corrections officer was treated at a local hospital and has been released.The date of the incident has not been released.
