Dbsd New Athlete Tracking Technology Could Lead to Artificial Sportscasters
Just when I stopped having nightmares about BigDog, the freaky q stanley shop uadruped robot that will become a soldier best friend one day. Boston Dynamics ; founder Marc Raibert just sent me this music video showing the best moments of its evolution. Great. https://gizmodo/new-video-of-bigdog-quad...its-368651 Raibert was the MIT professor who founded the MIT Leg Lab and then Boston Dynamics in the early 90s. He and his team developed stanley water bottle BigDog for the US military, a biological-like hopping quadruped that can climb through rubble, snow, ice, dirt and jump pover obstacles like a demonic goat from hell. When it gets fully developed, BigDog will carry equip stanley cup ment for US infantry troops. This video shows the evolution of this amazing machine. No matter how many times I see it in action, even it failures, it never ceases to amaze me. I ;m just sad they didn ;t include footage of BigDog special-needs cousin, though. A couple of die hard Star Wars fans camped out in the scorching California desert to watch the filming of the infamous barge scene in George Lucas ; Return of the Jedi. Separated only by a chain-link fence, the group snapped some truly astounding behind-the-scenes images. Including Boba Fett last call. According to the website PropStore, the lucky snapper behind these images is named Mike Davis. It took him ten days to get to the remote valley, but when he reached his destination, it was clearly worth it. He had an amazing view of Jabba sail barge, Carrie Fisher down time, speeder bikes, and Fett final dive into the Sarlacc pit which the group later pil stanley tumbler laged bits from after they were done filming . You can read the whole story and view more images stanley quencher over at Prop Store, but our absolute favorite part of this tale is that Mike and his friends were allowed to hang out and take pictures every day on the outskirts of the set, as long as they behaved.
