HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla.- Strawberry Crest High School students are raising money to walk in the March for Our Lives movement in Washington D.C. next month.Aden Fiol and N Dia Webb are working with other students and are asking their community for donations. They want to raise $100,000. They want to take as many Hillsborough County students as possible on the trip.This is not a district sponsored trip. The students are doing this on their own. Fiol and Webb want students across the country to feel safe going to school.The March for Our Lives movement is in response to the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Deputies arrested a teen who is accused of killing 17 people. The fact that these kids from Parkland can go and say they want to start a movement like we should be able to go and support them, Webb said.Webb said she learned about other school shootings g hoka wanderschuh rowing up. We hadnt been old enough to understand what was going on and now that we can see this can happen to us and now that we can see that like it really hits harder, Webb said.These students are not only concerned about school safety, but gun control reform too.
