The City of Guelph is a step closer to building a new community centre in the south end of the city.The city announced that is has brought on MacLennan Jaunkains Miller Architects MJMA , a Toronto-based firm, to do the detailed design work for the new facility. MJMA was one of 13 submissions received by the city for this project. Were excited to work with MJMA 鈥?a company that has a 30-year legacy of design excellence in aquatic, arena, sport and recreation projects, states Heather Flaherty, general manager of parks and recreation, in a news release. In 2015, the city added $60 million to its 10-year capital forecast for the project, slated to be spent in 2018. Therell be no pay increases for workers in the Hannibal school district next school year, under tentative agreements announced this week.Hannibals Board of Education appro stanley website ved new contracts with all but one of its unions.The largest union, the Hannibal Faculty Association, agreed tentatively to a one-year contract that not only holds pay at this years levels, but also eliminates step and longevity increases for the year. Teachers have not voted on the proposal yet.Unions representing office workers, the District Clerk and the CSEA local all agreed to three year contracts.
