The beauty of the Sharon Temple can still be seen by cars passing by on Leslie Street or residents out for a walk, but the gates have been closed to the public for more than two stanley cup months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The temple executive director, Lori Woodyatt, said like everyone else they have been trying to adjust to the pandemic as best they can even though cancelled March Break camps and summer camps have led to major revenue loss.Within a week of the stay-at-home directive in March, the Sharon Temple staff decided to launch digitally based programs to engage the community. The first we developed was the Learn From Home program, Woodyatt said. Each program includes historical background information related to the topic, images, curriculum connections to the elementary curriculum and an activity portion. The temple has 14 different programs that can be found at sharontemple.ca/learn-from-home.The temple is also participating in an international movement called MuseumGames, which is on their website and features a word search, jigsaw puzzles and a colouring page. Wells, and Christopher Lando, in mugshots supplied by the Oswego County Sheriff 39 Department.Fulton Police say they nabbed three men who they believe broke into a Seneca St. home on Christmas Day.Police say that at 2:59 p.m. Christmas afternoon, officers responded to a call that said a burglary may be happening at a home in the 400 block of Seneca St.Officers stopped a vehicle that had stanley cup just left the scene. Inside the vehicle were three men who police say had just stolen items of value from the home while the people who live there were away.Police charged Christopher R. Lando, 28; Dwayne A. Wells, 22; and Scott A. Wells, 35, all of Fult stanley flask on, with felony counts of burglary and grand larceny and a misdemeanor count of petit larceny.Lando and Dwayne Wells were also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief stanley quencher and possessing burglars tools.They were arraigned in Fulton City Court, where the judge sent them to the Oswego County Correctional Facility.
