In the update, he discussed rental assistance in relation to financial hardships due to COVID-19. He said those in this situation may be eligible for a program through the Oswego County Veterans Services Agency and the County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning.Applications will be accepted until November 15 or until the funding runs out. The short-term rental assistance program can provide up to three months rent for people who have lost their jobs or experience financial hardship as a result of the COVID pandemic, Weatherup said. The program is open to all renters in Oswego County who meet income guidelines. Veterans, though, will receive priority.
